Already a classic: the low-key and fact-oriented briefing confirms Russia and its media in a league of their own when it comes to government transparency.

The video below is Russia’s response to the deluge of unsubstantiated and emotionally driven accussation spread by Western media and politicians since the downing of MH17 over the People’s Republic of Donetsk on July 17, 2014.

Highlights:

  • The only party in the area with the equipment needed to shot down an aircraft at 10 km altitude was the Ukraine (Kiev), which on July 17, 2014m had five BUK anti-aircraft batteries. The day after the batteries were removed.
  • At the time MH17 was downed, it was pursued a Ukrainian SU-5 fighter jet.
  • At the time MH17 was downed, a US spy satellite passed right over head.
